Our roomy B n B looks out over Silva Bay. A view you can enjoy from bed. Yes you can also sit outside on the deck and get the same great view and ocean breeze. This bed and breakfast on Gabriola Island is in old orchard of heritage fruit trees. We offer in season fruit, when we can, in our continental breakfasts. Including, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, apples, plums and pears.
Accessed by your own private walkway and entrance, you create the experience you want. Other included amenities are quality linens, fridge, continental breakfast, coffee maker/ hot water for tea, WiFi and a Smart TV. Parking is available for 2 cars and dry bicycle storage if required. The suite is accessed via an exterior staircase and is not wheelchair accessible.
Relaxation massage is available onsite from Melanie Teichroeb and Gabriola Massage. (By reservation only.) Melanie has conversational ASL and can welcome Deaf and HOH guests.
Located at Silva Bay we are a 5 minute walk from the marinas and the Gulf Island Sea Plane Terminal. Kayaking the Flat Top Islands and ocean side walks at Drumbeg Provincial Park are minutes away.
Gabriola Island
We are one of the Gulf Islands in the Strait of Georgia in British Columbia (BC), Canada. 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) east of Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. Only a 20-minute ferry ride from downtown Nanaimo. The island has a land area of about 57.6 square kilometres (22.2 sq mi) and a resident population of 4,500.[1]
Yes we have great public beaches and forests, shopping centres, restaurants, a library, an elementary school and a museum! And Gabriola Island is known as the Isle of the Arts. Due to its high percentage of working artists, and its many cultural events. These events include annual festivals related to art, poetry, gardens, music, boating and fishing. The Gabriola Arts Council produces three large annual events: the Isle of the Arts Festival (April), Cultivate Arts Festival (Summer) and Thanksgiving Studio Tour (October).
