Silva Bay View is situated a 5 minute walk from the Gulf Island Sea Plane terminal at Silva Bay Marina. Gabriola Bed and Breakfast is ideally situated for travellers to Gabriola from Vancouver International Airport(YVR) who are using the float plane to arrive. By car it's a 15 minute drive on North Road from the Nanaimo – Gabriola Island Ferry Terminal.

Parking is available for 2 cars and dry bicycle storage if required. The suite is accessed via an exterior staircase and is not wheelchair accessible.

Gabriola Island Accommodation can be hard to find in the high season
Gabriola is an Island of 4,500 residents that can swell to 8,000 in the summer. Don't be disappointed when looking for Gabriola Island accommodation by waiting too long to book. Silva Bay View will take a deposit to reserve your dates. Even when they are months away. To confirm you reservation we require full payment in advance.
If booking through an online site such as Airbnb or Booking.com is your preference you can do that also. We try to keep our website price about the same before you pay the Airbnb commission.
Situated on Gabriola Island, Silva Bay View BnB features accommodation with spa facilities. This property offers access to a balcony, tennis at the tennis court, free private parking and free WiFi. Recently after being frustrated with Google Maps not properly listing Gabriola Bed and Breakfast we adjusted the name to be Silva Bay View BnBor Silva Bay View Bed and Breakfast. Nothing has changed other wise. Same great view from the kingside bed. A large room with beautiful Vancouver Island Fir hardwood floors. Many amenities including wifi, smart TV , Breakfast, fridge, dry bike storage and fold out twin couch. Quality linens, your own private 4 pc bath and private entrance with a coded lock. If you choose, you do not need to meet your hosts. A continental breakfast of baked goods, quiche, fruit, granola, instant porridge, yogurt, coffee/tea is placed in the room and fridge
This time of year(fall) is the most beautiful and pleasant time to be on Gabriola. Sunny days, gorgeous sunrises, leaves turning colour and very few tourists.

Gabriola Island Hotels are not something we have. What Gabriola Island does have is one Motel, camping and several Bed and Breakfasts. Silva Bay View BnB is a new boutique Bed and Breakfast that has no surprises. Enjoy the king size bed with quality linen and towels. Silva Bay View is the name of a new B N B that opened July 2024. The owners are Dave and Melanie Teichroeb. Dave is just retiring from being a contractor. Yes we have great public beaches and forests, shopping centres, restaurants, a library, an elementary school and a museum! And Gabriola Island is known as the Isle of the Arts. Due to its high percentage of working artists, and its many cultural events. These events include annual festivals related to art, poetry, gardens, music, boating and fishing. The Gabriola Arts Council produces three large annual events: the Isle of the Arts Festival (April), Cultivate Arts Festival (Summer) and Thanksgiving Studio Tour (October).
Gabriola Island Bed and Breakfasts cost is actually quite affordable. Our bed and breakfast, Silva Bay View BnB is a beautiful hotel style room. But without all the neighbours and sounds that come with a hotel. It costs $200 per night plus a cleaning fee of $50 for your whole stay. So two nights would cost $450 and 4 nights would be $850.
